The processing of a ford (“vado”) is the application for the reservation of space on the public road, which allows free access of vehicles to parking spaces or loading/unloading areas, within a premises.

The procedure and documentation required for processing varies from municipality to municipality.

As a general rule, the following is required:

• Payment of the corresponding municipal tax.
• Report signed by a competent technician justifying compliance with the fire safety regulations of the Technical Building Code.
• Justification of the municipal ordinance.
• Floor plans

If adaptation works are necessary to comply with fire safety conditions, the corresponding fire safety licence must be applied for.
